Description what if the earth WAS flat? then you'd be living just next block wouldn't you?
what if you and i were dreams? starting afresh every night, only to be forgotten in the morning.
what if you and i decided to pack our bags and head north? to fall asleep in the cradle of the himalayas. forever.
what if at this very instant the voices you hear had hammers, and they battered your skull till sunbeams flew out the cracks? till there was nothing but you left there.
what if the roadside trees were actually waving? would you ever be able to tolerate the guilt of not waving back, all these years?
what if you and i were one? yes, i know its a roundabout way, but i hope your tendril hair are a fair excuse.

The last line is the final proposal. He makes an excuse for his roundabout way of saying things by saying that the girl has curls in her hair.
