Description
My half of the trade withI know, I screwed up her anatomy a bit, especially her hind legs, forgive me please :[ The pose is also a lil boring but other than that I really love how this came out <3 I adore Lupes' floofy neck and the shading, my favourite one in that style so far :> But I really don't know why the heck the file's that big, that was indeed a waste of space, empty mapless space

This is brilliant! How do you do such fantastic backgrounds?
I really like your gallery!

Ahh, k : D Well that standard structure-background was just a filter... I chose two different colors (dark blue + purple), then used the filter 'clouds' and 'add structure'. Or something like that And that reflection ... ffff, that's sort of hard to explain so I recommend you to prepare for lots of wrong grammar and bad english
First, I did everything else, like coloring, shading, and details. Then I hid every layer that I did NOT want to be seen in that reflection effect-picture (like the shine around the character or the standard background). Then I clicked Layers > Unify all visible layers (again, I'm not sure how it really is called). Every element you want to see in the background reflection can now be seen in that one united layer. I then chose the lasso tool and drew a line around the character and pressed Ctrl + C (Copy). If you're sure your computer copied the picture you drew a line around you have to undo (Ctrl + Z) every step til you've got all your single layers back and unhide every layer you hid in the beginning. Make a new layer and put it beyond all the others but in front of the standard background of course. Paste the copied picture in that layer by pressing Ctrl + V. How you can see, your work's still not done. Again, pick the lasso tool and draw a line around the character, then click right and choose 'format (or whatever)' and extend your picture as much as you want, whether you want it to be tiny or big. Save the changes by clicking OK. But it still does not have that purdy reflection effect. Therefore you have to lower the layer's opacity. I usually set it to 20%-30%-40%, that should be enough
Sooo... that was it, somehow, it may look complicated but it really isn't. But if you don't understand it, it wouldn't be a surprise to me. I'm very bad at explaining things. Always :/
Oh and by the way; I use Photoshop 7.0, but it should be possible to do this reflection-effect with any other art program - that works with layers and layer opacity - too ^^
