Because this is Hetalia, and we're all nerds in the same old fandom. Every single ship has potential, and nothing is actually canon in the series (except HREtalia), so really, what's the point of wasting time and energy in getting mad at people who don't ship the same as you?

(Yeah, and just because I tend to prefer hetreo pairs does not mean I hate homo pairs at all, I personally really like FrUK (one of my faves) and many more (even to an extent Spamano though I do prefer them having a familiar bond same with USUK) and I actually think Male!Belgium x Spain are a pretty hot pairing as well, sadly their isn't much fanart of them in that combo, which kinda surprises me, maybe I should draw some myself someday xD)

Yes I agree! Even with really popular ships, it irks me so much when people insist it's canon! Idk why but I tend to lose interest in a particular pairing when shippers do that

yeah I hate when fans act superior just because their pairing is popular/having a bunch of pretty fanart/have many interaction in manga, and automatically claimed them to be canon. That kind of behavior always ruined the pairing for me xD
