Description
When you browse other people's artwork, have you ever had that feeling that your art wasn't good enough? I actually gave up drawing because of that. And I still get that feeling to this day. But my sister once told me, "The only reason why people never achieved their goals is because they didn't want it hard enough." And that gave me the mind set to never get discouraged by other people's art. Get inspired from it.So what if my art isn't as good as others? Or that I don't have hundreds of thousands of page views? I like doing what I do. And I'll keep doing that until the day I die. Drawing.

I get that feeling each and every time I look at someone elses art. That would include yours, just so we're clear. Still, once I've got things more organized, I'm going to be uploading a bunch of my stuff.. Old, semi-old, new, and of course Pony. If you look at what little I have on my page right now.. well, Ponies are pretty far from my normal style of drawing, but I'm reasonably proud of what I've done so far. Just.. need to find the pencil for my tablet so I can at least try and color my OC..
Any tips on that would be greatly appreciated.
But you're right, giving up is NOT the answer. I gave up for 10 years, only drawing once in a blue moon (Like when I was stuck at the hospital), but MLP got me back into drawing, and I feel like kicking myself, a LOT, for ever stopping. Hopefully I'll get my page + art up sooner rather than later. Just.. so nervous.

Damn, I don't usually expect people to comment on my old works.
To be honest, the generic tips that you hear all the time are the ones that are true.
Just keep practicing, use references for help, and be determined.
But if you want my two cents, don't delete your old works. You can't learn from your mistakes if you ignore them.
And I wish you luck on your future.

Your Discord is so delightful to look at. His faces are just too adorable!
The spines on his tail look weird though. They should be a bit more round at least. I've also noticed that his hands tend to look a bit off usually. I think the wrists are the problem, maybe try to make them thinner and more defined.

I don't get discouraged, it makes me even more determined to be just as good as my art heroes. But I do have the occasional whine about how my art isn't good enough

I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from.
I am pleased with my pictures, then I look at OTHER people's pictures... and I'm like, "Well, dang it."
It's upsetting, but at least I can enjoy my pictures.
