Description
Biologists are stationed at the South Pole, studying seals. As they're doing so, they hear noises. They turn around, and see their tents bulging. They take a couple of steps, but out from the tent, pops an enormous penguin! More follow as the biologists scream.At H.E.A.T. HQ, Godzilla and Komodithrax are swimming side by side, but inside the headquarters, it's not so peaceful. The team is taking turns trying to educate Zilla.
"Ready Zilla?", Nick says with Mendal beside him, holding his sonic signaler.
"I'm putting on a low frequency so Zilla will respond instead of Godzilla.", Mendal says putting in adjustments.
Mendal writes a command, and Zilla roars.
"Roar.", Nick tries to tell him.
Mendal writes another command, and Zilla tries to fire Atomic Breath.
"Fire.", Nick says.
"OK, Zilla, roar!", Nick says, and Zilla fires his Atomic Breath, and hits Mendal's shoe.
"GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!", Mendal cries hoping up and down on one foot.
"Skraa skraa skraa!", Zilla says as if he's laughing.
"Why you little...", Mendal says.
"Take it easy Mendal, he's still young and learning.", Nick says.
Zilla jumps in the water to enjoy a dip. Then Godzilla pops out of the water. He does an Atomic Breath, and Zilla tries, but again, Atomic Smoke. Godzilla does it again, and so does Zilla, and he breaths Atmoc Breath succesfully.
"See? He can hardly learn the basics.", Nick says.
Zilla pops out of the water, shakes and walks in the lab.
"You need to install a baby gate.", Mendal says.
Zilla walks in all over the lab to see what everyone's doing. Elsie's working on papers, Randy's working on the computer, and Monique is training her martial arts.
"Skraaa...", Zilla whines, as if he's bored.
"Hello?", a voice says. It turns out to be Audrey!
"Quick! Hide Zilla!", Elsie says.
In the meantime, Nick is trying to buy time.
"Audrey! What are you doing here?", Nick asks.
"I heard rumors that you have a new member of H.E.A.T. Mind letting me in on who it is?", Audrey asks.
"Audrey, you know my team is not for the publicity.", Nick says, but Audrey still let's herself in.
"No! C'mon little guy! NO!", Randy is heard in the lab, but Zilla escapes and comes running outside.
"What...Is that?", Audrey asks.
"Uh, Audrey? This is my grandson, Zilla.", Nick says.
Zilla approaches Audrey slowly.
"Skraaa!", Zilla says and leaps at Audrey, pinning her on the ground, then licking her.
"Ewww...", Audrey says getting up.
"Don't you dare tell anyone about this!", Nick threatens.
"Yeah, I know, if I post it, Hicks will investigate, I get it, I get it.", Audrey says and leaves.
"Weuh!", Nick says relieved.
"Skraa?", Zilla says, obviously confused. Nick just scratches him on the head.
"Jeffe! We got some action again!", Randy says running outside.
"What's it this time?", Nick asks.
"They said they were attacked by...Vicious penguins?", Randy says as if he's in disbelief.
"OK, then let's pack up for the South Pole.", Nick says.
"SKRAAA!", Zilla says.
"We are not bringing this little abomination!", Monique states.
"Oh, come on! The little guy already proved himself! He saved Nick and the others, and he fought off that giant ant!", Randy says.
"Besides, if we leave Zilla here, who knows what could happen. He could eat and destroy all our equipment here, or worse, he could be spotted and poached.", Nick says.
"(Sigh) Very well, but I am not watching out for him.", Monique says.
"That's fine, he seems to like me the most.", Nick says as Zilla cuddles his head on Nicks side.
So, they take a plane to the South Pole, where they had to sneak Zilla aboard. Luckily, Zilla fell asleep the whole trip.
Once they reached the South Pole, they immediately noticed Zilla was shivering. Nick offered Zilla his spare fur coat, which actually fit, even though his spines made holes.
Zilla tried walking onto the ice, but slipped. He tried to walk, but kept slipping. They put Zilla in the storage cart attatched to the skidoos, and they went off to the site.
"One thing I don't understand, is if all the biologists were taken, who reported it?", Elsie asks.
"That would be me.", the radio says.
"Major Hicks? Is that you?!", Nick asks picking up the radio.
"Yeah, it's me worm guy. Biologists were sent here to study the sudden dissapearence of some of the animals, and looks like they dissapeared too.", Hicks says.
Suddenly, the group looks up, and there's a helicopter above them. Luckily, Zilla was under a blanket in the storage cart.
"Nick! How do we hide Zilla?!", Elsie asks.
"I'm thinking!", Nick responds.
When they reached their point, they right away set up camp and put Zilla in Nick's tent. Luckily, all he wanted to do in this cold weather was curl up, and sleep. Then they looked at the wrecked camp site of the biologists.
"So, any ideas worm guy?", Hicks asks coming out of a copter.
"First, we should look around and see if there's any sign of radiation.", Nick says and they go through a thorough investigation.
Mendal uses NIGEL to get traces of radiation.
"Radiation detected. Can you feel the sunshine? Does it brighten up your day?", NIGEL says.
"One of these days, I will kill that hacker...", Mendal mumbles to himself.
"Jeffe! Look at this!", Randy yells.
Everyone comes a running, and finds that Randy found a footprint.
"It looks like a giant penguin print!", Elsie says.
Just then, the snow starts to shake. Everyone turns and see 3 enormous penguins!
"Uh, anyone got any fish?", Elsie asks.
"Go go go!", Nick says and everyone starts running as the penguins start to waddle after them.
The soilders in the helicopters start shooting the penguins, but it only draws the attention to them. Then, when the penguins have them cornered, who should pop out of the ice, but Godzilla and Komodithrax!
"Yah! The killing duo are back, baby!", Randy cheers.
"There are TWO now?!", Hicks asks.
"It's a long story.", Nick says.
Godzilla and Komodithrax swing their tails, knocking the 4 penguins away. They fire their breaths, but the penguins ddoge it. The penguins split into 2 groups for Godzilla and Komodithrax. A penguin hops on Godzilla's head and another holds him down, as Komodithrax is bombarded. Komodithrax manages to fire her Atomic Breath on the penguin holding Godzilla down, and Godzilla swats the penguin on his head away, and helps Komodithrax with the penguins on her. The penguins then dive into the ice as the lizards follow.
Soon after the penguins dissapear, Randy starts to sink!
"Argh! Help me!", Randy says and they start to pull him out of the sinking snow, and guess what pops out.
"A snow boarer?!", Nick says suprised.
Randy kicks his leg in the air, making the snow boarer let go and land in the snow.
"That must've been Cuddles!", Elsie says.
"Only now he's a bit bigger. When we got rid of the snow boarers, we forgot about Cuddles.", Nick says.
Cuddles was a bit bigger. He came up to the upper torso.
"He tried to shred my boot again!", Randy says.
They got Cuddles in a cage, and Nick took the cage inside his tent. Zilla was still asleep. When Nick brought the cage in, Zilla woke up, and sniffed the cage. They exchanged monster words. Zilla was trying to touch Cuddles, but accidentally broke the cage with his claws!
"Zilla!", Nick says, but he was suprised at what happened.
Zilla and Cuddles just looked at each other. They didn't fight, but instead, they seemed to, playfully wrestle, as if the 2 suddenly became friends. Suddenly, Cuddles jumped on Nick, but he didn't bite or scratch, he just made noises. Nick just held Cuddles like a teddy bear, and he still made noises.
Nick goes outside the tent.
"So, hows the little bear?", Randy asks.
"You need to take a look at this.", Nick says and lead his team into his tent.
"Is it something important?", Hicks asks.
"Yes, but it's scientific. We'll let you know once we figure out how to translate it into english.", Nick says and the team goes in the tent.
Everyone's suprised by Zilla and Cuddles. They start playing, and wrestling.
"Huh, this I didn't expect.", Elsie says.
Suddenly, Cuddles looks at the group, and jumps Randy! Just like Nick, it doesn't scratch or bite. It actually cuddles with Randy.
"Looks like you picked a good name for the fellow.", Elsie says.
"Nick! What's going on in there?!", Hicks asks from the outside.
They quickly hide Zilla and put Cuddles in the cage before Hicks comes in.
"Uh, we're still looking up how to stop these thing major. We think we might have a plan.", Nick says.
Later, they start to put out loads of fish.
"We've loaded these fish with the strongest tranquilizer mix we could find.", Hicks says to Nick.
Soon afterwards, the penguins show up. They sniffed the fish, but shrugged them off!
"Uh, I think they know they were trap!", Elsie says.
The penguins begin to surround them, but then Randy uses his laptop to use NIGEL to run them away.
"Can you see, the sun is shining on me!", NIGEL says as he gets the penguins attention.
After a few feet, a penguin catches NIGEL and swallows his whole.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!", NIGEL yells.
"Noooooooooo!", Mendal cries.
The penguins direct their attention back at the group, but between the group and the penguins, the ice breaks, and out pops Godzilla and Komodithrax!
"They're BACK!", Randy says.
Godzilla and Komodithrax start out by using their Atomic Breath on the penguins who seem to absoloutely hate it. They lunge for both of them, but the lizards swing their tails, knocking them far!
"Major! We need to use the helicopters!", Nick says.
In the helicopters, they're trying to get a good shot at the penguins.
Godzilla and Komodithrax begin to hold their own against the penguins, and the battle ends up on a glacier peak!
"NOW! FIRE!!!", Hicks says and the helicopter fires the missles, but Nick puts on the speakers.
"GODZILLA!!!", Nick yells.
Godzilla and Komodithrax turn to see the missles shot at, and the run long before the missles hit the glacier peak, causing the penguins on the peak to fall.
Then the helicopter directs it's fire on Godzilla and Komodithrax, but Randy blocks it with a messege saying they're out of ammo.
"We'll get Godzilla eventually!", Hicks says.
"Sir! We've found the biologists! They're trapped in ice!", the radio says.
"Well what're you waiting for? Set 'em free, and let's get out of this iceland!", Hicks says.
Back at the plane, with the military gone, Zilla and Cuddles seem to be saying goodbye. Zilla does an Atomic Breath, and Cuddles amazingly, fires an Ice Beam! Zilla goes to Nicks side, but Cuddles then runs to Zilla, then to Randy!
"Aww, the little guy wants likes me! Can I keep him? I promise to feed him, and wash him!", Randy says.
"Um...", Nick says thinking.
"Skraa!", Zilla says breaking Nicks thinking.
"Alright, you can keep him, as long as he doesn't cause that much trouble.", Nick says.
"Hey jeffe, we're monster experts. What can go wrong?", Randy asks.
Then, Cuddles jumps on Randy's back, and fires his Ice Beam in the back of Randy's head, and everyone laughs.
"Hey, it's not funny! Help, my dreadlocks are cracking!", Randy mumbles.

No problem! You're stories pick up nicely from when the series left and that's no easy feat. Also as you point out, the series was characterized for its realism so I know is kinda hard to get so many details in check. Specially about all of the sciency stuff, but you're doing well so far.
And if you don't mind, I'd like to point two more things to help you out: Randy calls Nick jefe, which means "boss" in spanish. Its written with just one F. The other is about Craven's name: it's Mendel not Mendal. These are minor errors, that's why I didn't notice them the first time I read the story, so they don't really affect the plot whatsoever.

phew...that little hacking DIDN'T unleash a demonic fox doll...randy hath no idea of what horror he almost wraught...besides that, nice job! Looks like they're building a team of beasties now...
