I lived in cities for most of my life, so this is an oasis for me as well. The sound of a rooster crowing first thing in the morning is unusual, but strangely soothing. I love the quiet.

And yes, the silence is the best way to enable our perceptions. When we write or read, this silence is the best way to get a connection of our souls.
