Description
First of 3 solo pieces I made for Project Aurora: Black and White (I highly recommend you check out the whole release here: www.projectaurora.art/ ).

Set in the same universe as my previous pieces Going Home and After the Jump and another of my B&W submissions Luna Hub. It shows a deep space probe discovering a ruined jumpgate out in the Kuiper belt in the near future. Humanities first contact if you will (although with the remnants of a dead race's technology only).

Made primarily in Cinema4D with Otoy's Octane Render. Probe model from NASA's 3D model library. The rest by myself with some of my starfields used for the backdrop.
