'Ello There!!So I figured I'd post these wood swords up I did a while ago, still have quite a few more to finish shaping up but wanted to get these for you guys to peep out!!
These are really fun to make- shaping, sanding, painting... but again I gotta give Big Props to for the beautiful handle wrapping!! (Bottom three still to be wrapped)
Handle wraps are a vinyl type imitation leather... very cool and textured!!
Let me know what you think!!

Look totally awesome...
a most common question: how much did each take to make?...
and would you be kind to tell me what kind of wood you used?...
thanks...

Thanks!
Its acutally just a sheet of Plywood (not particle board) from the local home depot, its composed of I believe 5 thin sheets of wood glued and compressed together- I wouldn't say it was much more than $80 for the sheet!

yeah this are what I am looking for,
I like the style and the shape
I also like the form of the handle, its prevents the sword from slipping from your hand
but may I ask, when you were making this wooden swords were they one-piece, as in made only from a body of wood?

Hey Thanks!!! Yep Each Sword Is One Full Piece of Wood- Not Glued or Screwed Together at All!

hahah that just makes it harder and better
these are the kind of swords I've been waiting for in the group you've submitted them in
I don't want to give any offense but most of the 3D designs in there are crappy and looks impossible to make
and I'd rather want to see real weapons as proof that it's makable

you mean your gonna mass produce these?
and maybe I will but I don't think I can get one cause I am here in the Philippines
but not to worry I may move soon in a few months
and I have so much to learn, do you use a polisher on those things to make them look smooth?

Yeah, I've got about 8 to finish shaping... but will most likely do repeats of the cooler ones
For the metal swords I use a polisher, since these are wood I use a sander, sanding blocks and regular metallic spray paint to give the apperance of metal

its made from a one piece wood right, you carved it with carving tools by hand or with the help of a machine?
