I finally finished it! Took long enough lol
So this scene has to do with Mapledusk, Mapleshade's reincarnation. Like Mapleshade, she has fallen for a Riverclan Warrior. Mapleshade, despite being evil, doesn't want her distant relative/reincarnation to face the same fate as her. She quietly whispers to Mapledusk to avoid the tom and find love in her own clan.
Mapledusk doesn't fully believe in Starclan (until this point) and is terrified by a voice who, to her, has no owner. She races home and curls into the den.

Her name is Mapledusk for a reason. I didn't just want to name her Mapleshade, like I did with Antpelt's reincarnation whose name is well... Antpelt.
Her name is also a reference to Mapleshade's Riverclan lover, Appledusk
