Description
Lately I've been much more into traditional media (mostly markers and pencils) than digital. Running around buying new sketchbooks and markers like a madman. And eating cheap macaroni for it.Anyway, have a giraffe. I merely glanced at a wooden giraffe statue I own and decided I wanted to draw one.
I hope the colors look fine. Can't really tell from this laptop screen.
Black markers, copic markers and photoshop.

Holy crap, this is amazing.Β
I wish I had something more eloquent to say, but I can't seem to stop staring at the image long enough to form proper words.Β

Love the morphing of plant and animal. I live on ramen most nights, I know the feeling but the reward of the finished work is better than the most expensive meal you could eat.

I'd rather not have my work turned into shirts etc. unless I'm doing so myself.Β
Thank you for asking and hope you understand.

I'd be interested in seeing what parts you colored with the copics, and whichc parts are photoshopped.
I guess the coloring inside the giraffe is done with markers while the background and texture work as well as the red outline is PS?
Anyways, a great combination of traditional and digital media. Keep up the awesome work! - You've definitely deserved that DD.

I think it turned out really well, I really like how you have the branch twisting up the neck of the giraffe, it adds more depth to the image in my opinion.

That looks wicked cool. I especially love the giraffe's eyes-- it looks completely unfazed about the fact that it's turning into the tree winding around its neck..Β

With these branches giraffe looks like on fire so I have associations with Dali I like your style here, quite minimalistic but saying a lot. And mysterious, for sure. It resembles stained glass window in some way (bottom? shape? I don't know exactly). Very nice (and little creepy, are these branches eating body of giraffe? or they are creating it?). Wonderful colours, especially green
(is it a part of the moon maybe?)
