Well, with my lore; they are an aquatic static. A type of non-electric static that can hold consciousness, it can be held in a small container that then can form a body to accommodate the container.
This type of aquatic static needs to be careful around water, in fear it may lose it's container.
This container is a fishbowl.
The water is the basic color of the static.
