"Horrible"? Quite the opposite actually. Especially considering horses are mass-agreed upon in the 2D animation community to be the hardest thing to animate.Β Β

There is all sorts of writing and guidelines all over it, but I erased them digitally because they were ugly. >_< It could be that I didn't make very good guidelines, but I think the problem here was a mix of two things: My inexperience as an animator- some of the frames don't look very consistent, especially on the girl and the horses head. I'm not skilled enough to draw as consistently as I need to and I need a lot more practice.
And not being able to align each picture very well in real life AND in photoshop. Whenever I have the picture near the border in photoshop, it snaps to the edge- it's hard to explain, but it makes it really hard to get it properly aligned.

This is amazing!! Not even in my dreams could I ever be able to do that. This is just too cool. The paper animations is pretty nice, and yes it is a bit wobbly, but you are definitely Β goingΒ to right pathΒ for animation. I am also extremely impressedΒ with how you were able to get the horse to move so perfectly. Well done. Keep up the good work c:!

It's going to be a part of a little compilation of things (sort of like a demo reel, I guess) that I want to make for practice before I get started on making an actual animated short.

And thats good that you took your time to learn how do draw something like that. It takes lots of practice to draw something good like that. I need to work on my horses though. I still draw them looking like dogs with hooves >.<.

I want to finish the animation soon, but I've been going through a lot- especially during these past three months. I've been too stressed out to draw, but I'm hoping things will get better soon.

How did you do the animation?

I used a mechanical pencil and printer paper and a 20$ crayola lightboard.... I drew each frame while studying a youtube reference video, I believe it's on a cool channel called endlessreference. Sadly I couldn't align it very well because I don't have an animators drawing bar, and being really bad at drawing tiny faces doesn't help. >_< I got a new drawing tablet, and I'm going to finish the work on there once I get it set up! (Zoom and undo features! Yay!)
