Description
This shot gives you a good view of the bridges deck. It appears it is being reclaimed by mother natureThe Callaway Fork Bridge on Old Highway D just west of New Melle Missouri in St. Charles county. This Pin-connected, 8-panel Pratt through truss bridge was constructed in 1909 by the Decatur Bridge Co. Made obsolete by new bridge in 1968 when they re-routed the highway.

I have to go out tomorrow and get a bunch of shots of an old truss bridge right down the highway..Just found out they have it slated for demolition next year
It's not even that old, it was built in 1938. oh well.

That sucks, I am hoping to just happen upon some cool ones tomorrow, but I dont know know lucky I will get.. I guess we will see
