Description Welp, I'm getting a Tonsillectomy tomorrow! Fuuuun πŸ˜… I've been dealing with tonsil issues for a few years now and it's time for them to hit the road.

So, if I'm not super productive for a few days then you know why! Wish my pain tolerance luck!

hope all goes well and you have a swift recovery. i had my tonsils removed a few years ago. according to the doc, my tonsils were about 3x the size of what is normal and thats why i choke and get throat infections so often

Hey, mine too! Apparently, they were close to the size of golf balls when they got them out. Not sure how I could still breathe, especially since they had to fix my deviated septum at the same time...

I had a surgery for my tonsils when I was little. You probably won't remember what happens in the surgery and will feel like nothing happened. Though you might feel a bit sick afterwards. Either way, hope you get better!

I had gotten mine taken out in highschool. I don't know if it's worse when you're older, but it was pretty bad. The best advice I got for you is that it gets better. The pain goes away, the discomfort goes away.

Oh man. I had mine in October and I want to be honest: it hurts like hell. On a painscale 0-10 (0 nothing 10 getting withdom theeth broken out without narcosis (my personal 10))it was a solid 8 for me. BUT it was worth it. I don't have tonsillstones anymore. No more inflammation. So go for it. It is 14 days of hell yes, but you will be very relieved after that. And don't worry the sense of tasting will come back after 2-3 month

I had complications from mine and it almost caused me to bleed out (This was a week after surgery)

My sutures either dissolved too quickly or popped, causing a big hole to appear. It was too big too clot properly, so I had to go back to the hospital to have it re-sutured. My doctors said that happens less than 1% of the time, so I was just really unlucky

It’s been almost 2 years since that happened so I’m completely healed now. It looks pretty rough where it had to be re-sutured, but it doesn’t cause me any pain or discomfort anymore
