Life Cycles: They are born live and their shells start off white/light grey and darken as they age. After that they are usually black/dark grey by adult hood (15 years old). They can live live to be around 100-200 and are well known for their long life-spans.
Intelligence: Relatively high and very creative.
Behaviour: Due the their strength they are very docile and don't often look or avoid trouble. They are also very playful. When they are born they are about the size of an adult human's hand and an adult in roughly the size of a small dog but varies. They live independently but are not territorial unless times are tough. They spend alot of time underground tunnelling and building things with whatever they can find (not just rocks).

Well, my tablet is broken so I was probably not gonna enter anyway. Came up with a design but it's not nearly as cool as yours and I'm not confident that I'll execute my idea well with a touchpad >x<, I'll probably just show it to griffsnuff eventually, after I get a new tablet~

Their headshells start off as white/light grey and progressively get darker as they age. They're usually black/dark grey by adult hood. But if I win I don't mind if someone wants their helmipod to decorate their shells if they feel they want a bit of colour, so long as they don't go too over the top.
