actually I used Paint and mine saved transparent c:

Really?! Everything I save on Paint always ends up non transparent. When I was trying to get the recolored icon to be transparent,I had to go through the whole frustrating process to make it transparent with Gimp. (Since I can't open GIFS with Paint Tool Sai, (If I could I would have a bag of stress taken off when recoloring these.)

hm... I just saved the picture and then opened it and it already had the grey and white checkers behind it, then I just colored it and saved it as PNG or JPEG also works for me and the background goes away

How do you color it in without going over the lines?

I used and zoomed in really close and just colored it pixel by pixel :3

Really? You can just use SAi + the binary tool and go to a second layer and make the colouring mode multiply. That's what I did.

or just zoom in and colour with a paint bucket on Gimp like i did XD and then do markings with pencil ofc :3
