Hard to say tbh. Are you working at 3200x1800 with 3px? what's your process?

This is so helpful! I don't have any money to buy something else than Photoshop and I would love to do animations in the futur! But I don't understand how you can move around in your picture... Do you just zoom in?

The fan animation you posted on youtube of Kakashi vs. Sasuke gave me goosebumps, I can't believe how good you are, and you haven't even gone to animation school yet! I can tell already that you're going to be one amazing animator, I look forward to watching your future work!

Thank you for posting this. My Computer Graphics teacher sure didn't bother to teach any of this, so I'm glad you enlightened us about this process. You're really good.

@Smyton4tw
Can I have you check out my Line Scale and have you tell me which one you think I should use? Thanks!

If it wouldn't be too much trouble, can I have you check out my "Soul Eater - Soul Sketch" and leave a critique? Thanks!

@Smyton4tw
After seeing klFiretears upload of a WIP of KvS, I was wondering if you had any plans to upload a WIP before the final release. It would be nice to see how you do your work. Also, do you have any plans on making another Naruto Fan Animation after you finish Kakashi vs Sasuke? Like maybe a small one about Darui vs the Kin/Gin Brothers? Just a suggestion

Smyton4tw In reply to bubabaloozahd [2011-02-17 07:48:04 +0000 UTC]

I dont think so. I cant find a good HD recorder that doesnt make my laptop go super slow I might in the future though.

I have a question. When I start drawing on a canvas (Digital Canvas) I always end up making my character offset, meaning that I'll accidentally draw my character to big or to small or too far to the right or to far to the left. Do you have any tips on how to fix this? Also, do you have a MSN? Thanks!

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Smyton4tw In reply to bubabaloozahd [2011-02-14 01:59:02 +0000 UTC]

Yea, make a fast drawing of it first. to get the form right. then scale it to where you want it to be. After that, do the final outline

Can I have you check out my "Naruto Beaten Lineart" and "One Piece Luffy Lineart"? I know I'm probably annoying you with this stuff but I LOVE to have your opinions on my works just because your so amazing.

Hey smyton if you have the time I would like you to check out my Sasuke Shippuuden Lineart (it's the only lineart I've uploaded so it shouldn't be to hard to find) and give me a critique on it. It's my first one and I would love to hear your suggestions! Thanks!

Art-Junkei [2011-01-26 07:20:25 +0000 UTC]

after effects and sony vegas, when your giving it movement there are black spaces on the outside so its harder.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 0

ArtsJibon [2011-01-26 04:04:11 +0000 UTC]

But wouldn't using After Effects or sony vegas be easier for movement? Do you recommend them?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Smyton4tw In reply to ArtsJibon [2011-01-26 10:46:15 +0000 UTC]

Well it's up to you but AF and editing softwares always decrease the definition because you have to expand the video so there's no black lines while your final product in PS will always be a crisp 1280x720 video.

Hell Yo! That's the gap between "fairly good anime" and a "badass butt kicking anime".
Camera movement is in and all is begining to look like a real anime. Man you will become a legend among animators. Just keep on revealing the anime's greatest secrets to the public. We all gladly follow your path.

lines look very thick here why in animation i watched like you used Suzuki's style ??? i mean near like 1.8 pixels in Suzuki's animations in your niamtion i watched the same efffect do you add anything when you export vide in Premiere ? i'd like to see how do you smooth so thin ? i know you use 3 pixels at 3000x1800 but when i animate in the same canvas and pixels and when i export it it looks more thinkker, why? thanks

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Smyton4tw In reply to AnimatorMT1 [2011-01-25 21:42:46 +0000 UTC]

Well, the file I used was an unfinished one (I always have 2 of the same files in case I do something horrible and need to back track a ways). This one, I didn't add any lighting or effects to.

Well, I know some people get a "5 finger" discount by finding these things online. I am lucky that my father works with PS a lot and so always has the newest version.
