Very impressive photo. The majestic gigantic forms with the wee figure makes a perfect composition!

Yes, I love shots like this, that show the scale by including a person. Wonderful!

the shot would have been killed if it werent for the person to give perspective as to the size, and the perspective is very impressive

Partly right! It is Nigardsbreen, but in 2004.

I took a guided tour as well, very interesting. The glacier landscape is beautiful!

Thanks for the comment!

Very well composed, framed and shot. The work with scaling is very good as well. Ah, the risk it involves to take that *one* shot. Gets me smiling from ear to ear thinking about it... of course, I have yet to find a shot I'd risk my life taking.

i think that with the guy it loses bit of itΒ΄s magnitude, paradoxal.. but thatΒ΄s how i feel about it..

Looks so humungous.

I agree with you, photographers are always at risks. But hey, being on the line, that's fun of it.

I like the scaling you set here. Impressive, indeed.

Have you been there when they 'calf'? Gives a great idea of the hugeness that is there...and mind you, you do look very little here. Wonder what is in the cave.

No, never saw them calf unfortunately. But I did take a guided tour on the glacier
Thanks a lot for the comment!
