Koda woke up with a pounding headache, what even happened the night before? The last thing he remembers was eating candy with Esmeree. He reluctantly got out of bed.
he went to the main room of the nook and almost instantly regretted it as the screams of hyped up wynglings filled the space, making his head ache worse. He focused as much
as he could to deafen the sound if even a little bit. His glands glowed orange and not too long after it was quiet enough to slightly relieve his throbbing head.

  He grabbed a snail fruit from the kitchen before heading out to sit on the porch. He stopped his magic for a quick second only to regret it as even outside,
the squeals and yelling can still be heard. Back to magic it was then. The silence felt welcoming for once, though he had jumped when Alma had sat next to him
and tapped him on the arm.
"A-alma, hey." His glands dimmed as he wanted to listen to Alma yet he didn't stop it completely, just enough for the sounds to be muffled.

   "Hey, you alright? you look like a mess."

  "Yeah, just, I don't know, what happened last night."

  Alma let out a chuckle, "I told you not to eat too much candy"

  "heh yeah, maybe I should've listened to that." Koda shifted a little. "Anything else you need me for?"

  "Well, yes and no, I was going to ask you something unless it's too early."

  "No it's fine, I feel like I've been sleeping for too long anyway."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, definitely"

"Alright well, I'm sure you're well aware about how full this place is, right?"

"Yeah. Lots of Wynglings and eggs to hatch. What about them?"

"It's starting to get harder to find room for them, and I know you enjoy your space but I was just wonder-"

"Am I getting kicked out?" Koda's ears pinned back a little, not enough to be visible.

"Oh Chii, no. I wouldn't kick you out unless you start hurting the others."

"O-okay."

"Anyways, I was wondering how you'd feel about moving upstairs with the older kids and having a roommate."

Koda's ears pinned back fully. "Is it necessary?"

"Dear, I wouldn't make you do it unless it was."

"When do I have to move my stuff then?"

"Anytime this week, would do just fine."

"Alright, well if you need me to, then sure, I guess a roommate would be fine." Koda's voice slightly trailed off, his glands fully stopped glowing yet the sounds didn't bother
him as much anymore.

He felt Alma's arms wrapped around him, he returned the hug. "Thank you dear, don't worry, I won't pair you up with anyone too crazy, don't worry."

"I won't." Koda smiled as Alma went back into the nook, probably to control the hyperactive lings. He looked at the fruit in his hand and bit into once more. Hopefully having a
roommate won't be too bad.

"Yeah. Lots of Wynglings and eggs to hatch. What about them?"
