Description

Ky watched as Marigold walked away from Rutile before he made his way over to his brother. He merely looked at Ru with a small amused smirk as the other watched the yellow stump disappear around the corner.

He snorted, “Dude, Sunshine?”

Ru perked up and turned to face him with a tilted head, “What?”

Ky snickered, “You were totally flirting.”

Ru blinked owlishly at the blue stump, “Huh? No? I was just being nice.”

“Sure,” Ky drawled, grin broadening.

“What? I was, I swear.”

“Uh huh, hate to break it to you dude, stax don’t just call other stax “Sunshine” to be nice. That was 100 percent flirting” he teased.

Ru flushed “Was not!”

“Was to.”

“Nuh-uh”

“Yuh huh”

The two continued their back and forth for a moment before Ru lightly shoved Ky, initiating a playful wrestling match with the other stump. The two laughed as they pushed and chased each other around.

Ru had managed to successfully pin Ky down when a cough followed by a light giggle caught their attention. Both stumps stopped and looked to the side where Marigold stood, a large smile adorning her face.

“So what did I miss? I don’t think restaurant staff are supposed to wrestle each other.”

“Oh uh- we were just- I mean-” Ru stumbled as he straightened up and allowed Ky to stand back up. The blue stump snickered once more before stepping towards Mari.

“We were just playing while waiting.” he said smoothly before reaching a paw out towards Mari, “Name’s Ky, Ru’s brother; Marigold right?”

Marigold smiled and shook his paw, “Sure am, but you can just call me Mari. Nice to meet you.”

“Same goes for you. Now come on, let’s play.” Ky said, bounding towards the play room. Both Mari and Ru chuckled as the blue stump disappeared around the corner.

“Come on, let’s not keep him waiting.” Ru said gesturing to Mari to start walking.

“Yeah, alright.” she beamed, before standing and holding the jar in one arm and walking forward, “Come on, let's not keep you brother waiting.”

Ru nodded before they sped up their pace to meet back up with Ky.

The three had played a various amount of games with each other that afternoon; only stopping for the night as dinner rolled by and Mari had to find her little sister before turning in for the night.
