Maggie refused to help with the cleaning since it's peasantry labor (she also has no arms for which to clean with) and got banished to do research in the library, where she bullied Hermes into helping her turn the pages (because she still does not have arms)
Meanwhile Maurice is trying to figure out what's dirt-dirt that needs to be cleaned and what dirt is just part of the wall, Chichi seems unbothered by that question and is just going ham anyway
