I just don't understand the haters, the things I've read that they've said have made no sense. It feels like they pick on you just because they're bored and don't care. People like that should really get a life :/. If they think it's justified making such rude comments maybe they should try and make a comic and see how much effort and time goes into it, I bet they wouldn't appreciate comments like that if they understood. Nearly every time someone offends me I feel kinda like this. I want to let him feel pain, want him to suffer or be dead at all. But as long as I can hold it back I can live on and smile like allways. I know tht it's wrong but I can't change myself anymore and that's the hardest thing of all...

THIS IS STUPID!!
Why are there haters everywhere?! It really annoys me, I'm sure I'm not the only one. I really can't see how people gain satisfaction from looking down on others, but for those who (somehow) do, they need to find something else to do with their lives. SnaiLords is such an amazing artist and person, but I guess when someone really good at something, some people can't stand it. It's sad.
The same goes for other artists out there. You guys are all amazing, please don't let the horrible words of some other people reach your ears. Listen to all the supporting people who love you a lot! You're all amazing for being able to express emotion and imagination in a way some people can't, so when a stupid user/person tries to bring you down, know that they're failing. You shine brightly like you always do. I look up to you and respect you for that.
Also, can I just say, SnaiLords, it doesn't matter if that's you, or Kidus. We anglers still love you! You're awesome, okay? It's ok to be angry. Or sad. Or happy or even confused. Because that's the thing that brings forth such amazing artwork from you, and others too! It stirs our imagination, right? Which is a good thing, I guess.
Anyway, you might not reply to this long-ass paragraph (lol), but please, please read it. Myself and many others are behind you!

Just know that sorrow is everywhere, and it finds everyone, without prejudice. You just have to know it's there... and the sooner you accept that it will find you, the sooner you can move on. Take sorrow by the reins and ride it to glory, don't let it control you. Whatever reason people have to hate on your work, it's not worth getting bent out of shape over their nonsense. You're better than that, and you should know, so one day you are no longer bothered by what they say, because you know that what they say really can't hurt you. Not unless you let them.
I don't know if my two cents means anything here, amongst all these other people who are basically telling you the same thing, but I felt you could use all the uplifting words you could get. Keep on snailing~ *Cue songs ~keep on, keepin' on~ and ~Don't stop believin'~*

I don't understand why people have to be so rude. If they don't like the art, and if the art was not purposefully meant to hurt others, then why do they feel the need to leave hateful comments? And the downvoting thing on webtoons. That just makes me very depressed for anyone that's downvoted.

actually, I'd put forth the proposition that the "block" function required needs to pre-exist in the heart and mind of the person who seems to need blocking… it used to be called things like "manners" "civility" "honesty", and other such seemingly-archaic terms...
~ freedom of expression can be a wonderful thing, but far too many people abuse the privilege for thoughtless ranting and raving, and for countless other tawdry reasons other than enrichment of culture at large...

Jokes aside... I hate to be a devil's advocate again, but these guys do have a point, Snail. They certainly don't word it very well and that alone is a crime in my book. Seriously, if you have a message to get across, just get it across without shooting yourself in the foot. Still, one of them said something very valid: Relying too much on pre-established canon means that the readers who don't know it will feel lost. And most of the readers resident to that site don't know your canon
To put it in other terms (again used by one of the haters), you make it look like you're drawing these things for us. The basement dwellers, the fans that you've already have. Your deviantART fandom. However, you moved on with your works to a completely different site. From the 'native' perspective, it does look like you're showing everyone there a middle finger. But bringing your 'angler army' and dominating the competition on top of that? That's a downright invasion.
Imagine if you will that out of sudden, a large group of foreigners comes to your town. They speak some strange language, have completely alien customs and habits, and they don't give a damn about integrating. They simply take over the place. Fill your favourite bars and cafes, spill all over parks and public places, do what they please, act like they own the whole town and look at you as though you were an alien. Out of sudden, you get pushed to the sideways. In your own turf, no less.
That is, in essence, what you're trying to do to webtoons.
You can look at these haters in two ways. You can rage at them and say that they're being hostile to you for no reason. Or, you can see them as a sign of a crucial mistake that you've made: You didn't invest enough in the 'locals'. You didn't do enough to win them over, didn't give them enough reasons to like you. In fact, you put up walls. Which means: You're losing customers, Snail. Each hater who flames your scripts is a fan that you failed to make
You can claim that you're winning the competition fair and square, and if they don't like it, that's their problem. You can tell them that you want to paint the walls red with their guts and that they're only alive because you're calm. If you do, they'll keep proving you wrong by making it your problem as well. To the point where you'll be posting yet another antagonising comic strip just to let steam off
Or, you can change your strategy and actually give these people *real* a chance. Start building your popularity no webtoons from the scratch, invest time and effort to lure them to your basement. There's no guarantee that it'll work, but I can assure you of one thing. The first strategy will only lead to more of the same thing >____>;;

The reason I cannot upload Nightmare Exchange, etc. Because I wanted to start fresh, so those who had not been
acquainted with my work, has a chance to get in.
There should be NO back story to the page I just posted. It was for everyone to see. Kidus isn't supposed to be a known killer by the readers yet. It was one page. First page. Beginning of a story.
What is wrong with me creating for my followers? Nothing. Why should I dedicate my time and effort into pleasing trolls whose sole existence is to hate, and can't feel anything beyond it.
(To be honest. I also create for myself and the joy of creating. The pages drawn are stories I want to tell because I LIKE it.)

oh and about the Graphology stuff "handwriting analysis - Putting it to work for you" hasn't arrived yet (just been shipped! excitedly awaiting it's arrival) but I did find "Sex, Lies and Handwriting by Dresbold, Michelle" really interesting as of course for me an intro into handwriting analysis maybe you've read it already or you knowledge exceeds what's in the book but I found it really, really, REALLY cool, if you were looking for something. I now know what "devil forks" and "felons claws" and "pugilistic P's" are! hehe wink, wink, nudge, nudge?

One thing I've learned after trying to reason with haters,
logic flies over their closed minds. They really just want to hate.
Hahah the more I speak to them, the more they insult me.
Yet, the followers see things that I needn't even explain myself to them.
Haters will hate and lovers will love. I am done with words and futilely explaining myself to haters in vain.
What competition? Webtoon is now a free posting platform and more than one contract can be given out.
Hell, webtoon tried to get artists on Tapastic to sign with them, who are NOT even on Webtoon.

What? There are hard workers out there that don't have as big a fan base, they say? Well they should work even harder then. (You know, like, advertise their work (self promotion!))
Plus, they make it sound like an Angler can't be part of another artist's fan base, and instead, down votes every artist that doesn't involve you.
There was lots of eye rolling from me when I read those hate comments.
I actually laughed when one of them said that your 'only worth was in your existing fan base.'
My response? (In my head): Sure he has a large, existing fan base, but not only that, SnaiLords himself has an engaging personality, has a wonderful (albeit psychotic xD) sense of humour, goes out of his way to make a person feel special, AND his characters are amazing creations, with amazing personalities, AND has beautiful coloring (whenever possible).....'
Yeah, my list could go on forever.
IN SHORT:
You are an amazing person, with an amazing personality, with amazing coloring, with amazing characters, who also have amazing personalities, and no one has a right to say otherwise unless they have a good, valid, non-trolling reason!

I wouldn't want to guess but hopefully it isn't you. Haters are everywhere. No matter what kind of work you do, haters will find you.
So don't sweat it.
You have an established fan base filled with people who live your art for a reason.
If people can't see that, then it's their problem. Beauty is subjective. That's it. Plus, webtoons hired you because they saw how popular your work is.
