Origin:
The son of an abusive father and a mother who abandoned him, Leonard Snart was raised in poverty outside of Central City. As a child his only good influence was his grandfather, an ice delivery man whose job caused the young Leonard to associate cold with positive feelings. His father, meanwhile, instilled in him an emotional coldness, particularly after his grandfather died when he was twelve. As a young man he ran away from home, leaving his sister Lisa alone with their father, as he did not want her to get involved in his life of crime. Stealing The Original Icicles Cold Gun during Ares invasion, during the confusion Leonard and his partner Mick Rory stole it from an A.R.G.U.S facility as well as many other weapons that he would sell on the black market. After the success of this mission he went back to his home Central City to find more of a challenge. Snart developed the alias "Captain Cold" when he was forced to fight the city's newest hero The Flash.

After been put into Iron Height Penitentiary by the Flash, Whilst in prison he met some of the people who he sold weapons to as well as metahumans who had all been put in there by the flash. The inmates escaped prison and they teamed up with some other members of the Flash's rogues gallery, thus forming the adequately named team, the Rogues.

Powers & Abilities:
Snart is capable of fabricating a weaponized cold-engine. He stole the original engine and its plans and took two months taking it apart and putting it back together again until he could do it with his eyes closed. He is able to rebuild his Freeze Gun in under 32 minutes with items from a common appliance store. Captain Cold carries his famous Cold gun that creates absolute zero, that is, it is capable of completely inhibiting atomic movement. The gun can be used to a variety of effects, including: freezing objects in blocks of ice; generating cold fields that will slow any person or object that enters it; creating ice patches that are slippery or reflective; and generating icicles. He also wears a pair of snow goggles designed to limit the glare given off by his gun and enable him to see clearly while firing as well as seeing speed force energy and able to predict where the flash could be going.

He is a natural leader and has lead the Rogues through countless years of criminality. He also has a very tactical mind, and his own personal sense of honor. Captain Cold is an expert thief having stole a huge amount of weapons from A.R.G.U.S without them knowing till it was far too late. Leonard Snart is a very skilled marksman almost on the same level as people like Deadshot and Deathstroke. Captain Cold forms the Rouges witch is notable for introducing the no-kill policies, strict moral rules, and closer bond between members.
