Description Painted in gouache. When I share my goals with others, some of them tell me that I'm building castles in the air. Yes, I am -- why not? Better to dream big than to let others tell you what you're supposed to achieve.

What a beautiful unicorn!  I love the golden shine along the horn, tying in with its golden hooves, and the cloudy background.  This would make a great jigsaw puzzle, or illustration for a storybook!

Thank you! Although I'm finding that my color choices are starting to tend towards bright and pastel, and I'm wondering if I should be concerned.

Don't be concerned!  Pastel is a really sophisticated type of palette, and bright colors can be really eye-catching.

Another gorgeous painting by a fantastic artist.    I want to fill my home with beauty like this.  Would you mind if I shared this on my blog?  Or better yet, get a bunch of your works into one post?  Multiple pictures in one post (I call them scrolls) seem to be more popular.

I really like the soft pastels in this picture. You're always so good at those.

  It reminds me of a quote I heard once - "It's better to reach for the stars and hit the moon, than it is to reach for the moon and be left with empty hands." I'm paraphrasing, but I think that was the gist of it!
