[1] Rephrase the instructions >< a little wrong grammatically and in spelling. I'd suggest:
"Use the mouse to control the cannon. Press the left mouse button to build up power and release it to fire. You have 60 seconds to destroy the oncoming ships to earn points."
[2] I'd prefer if the timer wasn't "60 seconds, 59 seconds, 58 seconds..." but just the number. Nicer and simpler.
[3] The game's a little simple, and relatively easy to play - ships are too easy to shoot. Just a comment though ><

It got really laggy for me at the end. You need to put something in the code to either recycle sunken ships or delete them.

448. You should make it so each ship can only be hit once, also the cannon might be better in the middle so you have to shoot both ways. Extras like aeroplanes (or strange flying monsters, to be in the period) would be cool if you wanted to expand, too.
Still, nice graphics, pretty good concept.
