Description

These long solo missions to the frontier were lonely, reflected Lt. Nenana, but at least they allowed for some relaxation of the dress code. And when a planet with breathable atmosphere was found, after weeks cooped up in an artificial environment, you couldn’t pass up the chance to feel the ground under your toes and the wind on your skin.

This was yet another of my many failed attempts to get a quick scene done. Unfortunately, since I don’t do many sci-fi scenes, I ended up surfing through my collection of sci-fi props for a much longer time than I should have. Once I finally managed to settle on this simple three-prop set (planet/ship/alien explorer), things went fairly quickly.

I must say, I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. When I first turned on Iray for this scene, I was absolutely blown away by the planet and skyscape. So, kudos to bitwielder for the creation of that. I suspect you are all going to be subjected to that sky in many future scenes.
