Effectively the plot behind it was that Kim and Co. are trying to chase down Draken who's trying to find this pair of mystical Mawashi that are said to give their users incredible strength and endurance that can make them practically unstoppable, and can use that to buff out his henchmen. So eventually they manage to find their way to the mountain cave where its in, and Kim and Shego go ahead on a secret path and find the artifacts in an arena, where Shego jumps ahead and tries to take one to get the legendary strength, with Kim following after to try and even the odds. But as the mystical energy subsides it turns out that it has some unintended side effects and makes them much more bulkier, which makes Shego even angrier as she prepares to throw down sumo-style.
