My brain: hey, Snarky. What’s a big, very British event that’s currently going on that you can draw with your Meadborough characters?
Me: hmmm… I know, the Cheese Rolling!
My brain: wait no-

Yes, even though there is a much bigger event going on right now in the UK, I had actually forgotten about it in favour of the cheese rolling (then again, Animal Crossing remembered one and not the other too).
Them again, I can see the Meadborough townsfolk borrowing a page from Gloucester’s book and having a cheese rolling event of their own. The only things that make it different is that the cheese wheel is probably honey or mead infused, and contestants who have the ability to fly, are not allowed to to prevent cheating. Not that that’s going to stop Reuben.
