Description I was going to put this in my scraps since it's so small, but I've decided it's good enough to be a proper deviation.

A test still from my long running Battlestar Galactica animation project. The story focuses on some survivors aboard a crippled Battlestar after the Cylons attack. I don't think this scene will actually take place in the finished article, but there'll be something like it with my Landram.

Hangar Bay + Viper built and rendered in C4D by me.

So, how's that animation coming along...!?

I don't think I'll ever complete it, but you never know... I have most of the assets modelled, but with the crucial exception of some characters.

I guess that must be his plan... lol, this was just a test render that I ended up adding loads of effects to. Didn't really have anything in mind at the time.

Glad you liked it.

Explosions are always awesome when done correctly.

Very nice work. I saw you also have a launch-bay. You could apply some similar explosion or fire effect, like in "exodus" (BSG 3rd season), when the Galactica ran down into New Caprica's atmosphere to launch vipers in order to support the colonial rebels on ground.. and flames inade the launch-bays while Hot-Dog and other pilots take off ^__^

Ah yes, that's one of my favourite scenes from BSG. I might just have a go at that once I've completed my Viper (needs some finishing touches). I'm planning on doing a lot of scenes with it once it's done.

Thanks for the idea, and the

I'm going to reproducing some scenes and characters too! I saw you use C4D, but I'm still at the beginning with 3d graphics.. I just use Daz|Studo, a "minor" brother of the more famous Poser, but I'll notice you my works about BSG when I'll put them online

ps: that scene is one of my favourite too, a lot of action and drama inside it

I tried using Daz once but couldn't really get the hang of it. But this was before I learnt C4D. If you ever decide to buy a 3D package I'd definitely recommend it. It's got professional features, but is far cheaper than the other programs. Plus it's very easy to learn.

lol, I sound like I work for them.. But I'm just really impressed with the program after trying and failing with a few others.
