All right, now this piece was a PAIN to make. :Jai-Wo: and I are in an AP art class together and we were doing a study over......crap. Forgot the artist name is was like Ralph something and he did collages over his life, and we had to choose a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Quote, and I Chose "Success, recognition, and conformity are the bywords of the modern world where everyone seems to crave the anesthetizing security of being identified with the majority."-Martin Luther King Jr. I LOVED this one b/c I love to be different.
...OK!!! about this piece, it has several meanings within it , go on try to guess them!! ...give up ? ok here is what they mean to me. Ill start off in the bottom left corner, the burning eye is supposed to represent the sun, and its upside down to show that you cant always depend on the things you rely on most.Right to the right of that is a Girl in a red jacket, and she is to obsessed with the way she looks and doesnt realize that the city she is walking into is actually burning to the ground. Its burning to the ground bc I believe that is the way society is headed to.Up at the very top left there is a face that has its mouth open and its blowing a fire storm with commits and stuff, to me this represents the Aftermath of the Rapture. then...there is the fish. have no clue what he means, but he's there!!! Then there is a protester with peace signs, but i have them crossed out to show that there will never truly be peace. In the middle there are 3 ladys walking, and they are upside down, yet again, to go against society. welll.. I could go on forever with this thing, so i think im going to stop!!! if you have any other things that YOU think something in my piece represents, please share your thoughts!
