Technically, a snake wouldn't be able to eat a fully grown human, its cheeks would tear and it would most likely die. And it would have to squeeze it to death first. Nice work though.

If a snake were big enough, it could indeed swallow a human, many have, mostly in South America, but as with swallowing large game, if the prey is too big to digest and/or regurgitate, the poor snake would die from terminal indigestion. None of them had torn mouths or any damage like that. Their eyes were just too big for their stomach.
One has to extrapolate that for any snake found dead from swallowing a human, there must be some that didn't die and have gotten bigger for it. Many native people do just disappear in the amazon every year, and the indigenous people aren't that big.
I do prefer to suspend disbelief for a while and just go with it all. More fun that way, right, Swift?

If a snake were big enough, yes it could swallow a human whole, but snakes that eat other organisms either crush their prey to death or use their venom to kill or paralyze their prey, so the person would be dead either way when being eaten.

venomous aside, constrictors don't always completely kill their prey. There is still a spark in there. Oftentimes they're merely broken and incapacitated, and dying. Basically, once the prey stops struggling, they start swallowing. With my Island, I take a little license and suspend disbelief, all explained in my journal section, based on sci-fi, not fantasy. The ladies do not struggle, and the male snakes have been bred and conditioned since hatching to please women with their talented, flexible bodies. This lady in Swift's pix is not voluntary, but she is held so securely that it does not matter to the snake and makes for a better story-board pic.
Then there are those snakes neither venomous or constrictors, such as the Indigo (South-Eastern US) which overpowers its prey with the strength of its jaws (Small rounded peg teeth), and pressing it against the ground or a handy rock. The prey is often stunned or beaten into submission, but still quite alive when swallowed, though no doubt dying and perhaps its movements were only the last twitchings of a fresh kill.
But as I've said, just go with it and enjoy the artwork, so many movies involve sci-fi and fantasy, and so much porn is pure fantasy... Just sit back and enjoy the ride
