chill out its not one or ten ambushes that shall make the human empire fall its just a matter of time before humans use their best ability : adaptation ! technology can be researched to counter magic for example like when the tank where invented the anti-tank techs came after to counter them , then they can adapt their army organization and approach tekniques to be more effective agaisnt mythical creatures such as vampires, elf , etc Β . research can be made whit the various specimen the humans bring in their labs many test can be operated to find : weaknesses , usefull biological weapons , (and various more my limited english vocabulary can't tell )

yep, but some can deal with ordinary infantry.. they can do magic tricks enough to inflict human casualties, mostly by ambush. so human ground forces mostly rely own drones above to detect possible ambush points and there positions and scan other vital intel in the target area. (since at the 1st stage of the invasion there were no satellites on the other realms so most rely own UAV drones) .

maybe.. frost spells can freeze engine lubricants cause it to jam. or ignite fuel tanks. but to acquire it, she must able to see the machine (tanks,plane and must learn its location and that also means she's also expose to arms fire. XD

nah, its in my story. they try to conquer human realms in ancient times, and summoned monster that in modern day become just folk lore(it really happen) and egyptian ruins of cat head people represent as superiors (cat-people) they enslave humans and some were taken back to other realm to be sold as slave in other races. humans become labor slaves in the other realm ..and it continues.
