I loved it!

Sometimes I did some mistakes.
Body's harmony its sometimes so difficult to me. Because it depends of the model position.
I love drawing 'cause it makes me feel next to the origin of the Art and my painting, my wood cutting and sculpture can be a reflection of it.

Very appreciative of ALL your efforts to educate. Years ago Andrew Loomis showed us somewhat similar methods for memorizing the human figure. Thank you for sharing your considerable knowledge.

Weird. Someone else mentioned Andrew Loomis and I have never heard of him. I learned from a conglomeration of sources and teachers.

Great tut. My only question is about the top of the ears (I have a problem getting them right XD)
Does the ear tip reach the same line as the corner of the eye? Or the eye lid? The front and side views are both different which is why I'm asking which is correct

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Snigom In reply to Treori [2013-03-26 17:59:46 +0000 UTC]

Good question. it depends on age. If your subject is younger than 16 the top of the ear goes above the top of the eye but still stops at the base of the nose. For adolescence and adults the bottom of the ear starts at the base of the nose and at the top of the eye line (the eye lid to be more specific). As you get older, the elderly sometimes have a their ear lobes drop below the tip of the nose.
