Thank God that I am not the only one who knows that World War II actually started with the Japanese invasion of China (during the Chinese Civil War between Kuomintang under the incompetent leadership of Chiang Kai-shek and Mao and his Red Army) in 1937 and that the German aggression was only a fuel for the fire that had already been set. This is an incredible piece of work!

Thank you so much for mentioning the Japanese invasion of China. A lot of Euro-centric people still believe that WWII started when Nazi Germany invaded Poland. WWII broke out when the Japanese launched the seisen "Holy War" on the Republic of China when the Chinese Communists were on the brink of total annihilation by the Nationalist forces. German aggression in 1939 was just a fuel for the fire that had been already set. Then the Nazi invasion of USSR and the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Thank you for the comment and thank you for knowing your history. Yes, many aspects of the Asian theatre of the conflict have gone unnoticed by many students of history, although fortunately I think that is beginning to change a little.

great work and moments in history !
For example in the image on the bottom, we can only imagine what was in the hearts of those people that saw the sky of their capital dominated by german aircrafts ... and all the horror that camed next.

Well said. How horrible it must be to watch the town that you call home destroyed by another nation, to see the treasures of your heritage looted, and to see so many of your fellow citizens mistreated.
