If I can suggest something, I would say to move more things on him. Try animating the tail and head feathers a little bit every time he flaps. Maybe open his mouth every so often. Also, when the body itself stays completely static, it's kind of boring. Maybe rotate the body a tiny bit just to make it a little more interesting.
