I've read somewhere (The PR forums) that the new game may have battlefields set in the Middle East (Not surprisingly) and also in Paris and New York.
Also... it should be noted that the M1A2 Abrams is reversed in this Wallpaper while the soldier is not (Taking into account the case ejector of his M4).

Paris is unlikely. factions in BF3 include US, MEC, Russia and or China.
duly noted, however theres is such a thing as over examination. especially an art piece made for a plastic box and Gameinformer Magazine.
