ever since my swan-dive into tarot this year, i've been more excited than ever to try my hand at illustrating a full deck. (ahh, one day!) in the meantime, i've been practicing with members of the wild delta gang. from left-to-right, Kiire 's Tex, AltoCaramel 's Poke, Kynthesis 's Mac, my Ora :^)c, vlpn 's Blue, & callmeFlo 's Frankie!

i completed these over the course of a few months (intermittently from feb-may), and thank god the gang's all here! while working on Dia's cards, i came up with the idea to do them in a weathered/aged style. My character, Ora, has a tarot (or oracle-adjacent) deck, and i thought it would be fun to not only incorporate people from her past life in a deck, but also give them a feel of a deck she might own. usually people go for the iconic major arcana when assigning characters to cards, but the majors are more like events or states of being rather than people to me. that's why for this, i wanted to limit myself to the minor arcana face cards. from there, everything fell into place!
