Night fell upon Pure Heart Valley. The Sweetiepies were settling down for the night, getting a treat before bed, reading a good book, and even watching a little bit of TV. While just about everyone was turning in for the night, a certain Sherif was far from sleep. Mao Mao firmly held his sword in his hands as he looked around him. There were practice monsters surrounding him as he took a look around. There was a ding before these practice monsters cae to life and went after Mao Mao. He smiled as he jumped confidently into the air as a few of the practice monsters ran into each other. Landing on the other side he rushed to one of them saying, "Regular thrust!" His sword threw back the monster, causing a little tear at the seam. Another came behind him as he said, "Back-hand smack!" He turned quickly as the back of his blade hit the practice monsters face, making it slide across the floor. Two practice monsters came on each side of him as they had there fake claws extended. With a gleeful smirk he said, "Roundhouse swing!" Doing so, the cat used his blade to knock the monsters into a circle before batting them out of the practicing arena.

Badgerclops walked in as the practice monsters came his way. "Woah!" he said ducking, "Hello." Standing back up he watched them fly into the horizon before looking back at Mao Mao. "Dude," he said walking to him, "Try and take it easy with the practice dummies, I can only make so much at a time and repair the ones you seem to destroy during practice." "Oh Badgerclops," Mao Mao chuckled placing his sword into the sleeve, "You can't take it easy when it comes to justice, besides; we all take a whack at it during practices." "Sure, whatever dude," Badgerclops said looking back out into the horizon, "Looks like we won't be seeing those practice models anymore, knocked them pretty far." "It was a slam down!" Adorabat chirped as she fluttered to her buddies. "I think you mean home run." Badgerclops said as Mao Mao come in, "It was pretty awesome." "Sure you can say that," came another voice, "But it could be better." The three looked up to see Mel Mal perched on one of the ceiling boards. "Why I ought a-" Adorabat began before Mao Mao put his hand up to keep Adorabat from saying another word. "I'll handle this," he said calmly before he challenged, "It could be better you say? Well why don't you come down and give us a few pointers." Mel Mal jumped from perch to perch before landing swiftly in front of the group. Standing up to meet Mao Mao's challenging gaze she said, "That's what I intend to do." Turning her back she said, "Now your techniques are good, but; let's start at ground 1. Basic combat training, even the greatest legends have to start at basic combat training." "Oh come on." Adorabat said, "We already know all that." "Now Adorabat-" Mao Mao started before Mel Mal finished, "Meaning no weapons." "That's to bad for you Mao Mao," Badgerclops said patting his back. "That includes no robo tech either." she said. "What?" he said, "But that doesn't count." "What were to happen if you weren't abel to use it in battle or somethign goes wrong with your arm during a fight." she asked. "She does make a point," Mao Mao said, "And that has happened before, with the magnets."

"But then how are we suppose to fight?" Adorabat asked. "By using these." Mao Mao said as he held up his fists. Mel Mal nodded as she took out her sword and cast it aside. Mao Mao took his own sword as he out it aside as well. They all got into a battle stance. A soft wind came through as Mel Mal said, "Begin!" Mao Mao was the first to rush up and meet the challenge. As he went to take a swing Mel Mal swiftly dodged before grabbing his arm and swinging him away. Badgerclops was next as he went for a swing when Mel Mal went around it. Behind Badgeclops now, she punched him in the side as he stumbbled a bit. "Nice hit," Badgerclops said unharmed by the attack. Adorabat swooped in as she got a hit on Mel Mal. The feline didn't anticipate the little bat to have a good hit. When she turned to get back at the bat she met Mao Mao's leg. He roundhoused her in the stomach as she fell back, but; caught herself as she got back on her feet. She smiled as she rushed to meet Mao Mao. Mao Mao and Mel Mal were now on head ot head combat mode. With each kick there was a block and with each swing there was a counterswing to avoid the hit. This went on for a few minutes. Mao Mao was catching his breath as Mel Mal looked over him. But she had fallen for his "tired" charade as he knocked her off her feet. He now stood over her as Mel Mal locked eyes with him. Her hand wrapped around a handle as she brought forth her sword. While she caught him off guard, Mao Mao quickly rebounded as he too grabbed his sword as the cats met with a klang! Badgerclops had taken a moment to catch his breath whiel the two cats were still fighting. "Hey she's cheating!" Adorabat said coming to his side, "She said no weapons!" "Adoarbat, I think there too invested into this to even remeber what we said at the beginning of practice." Badgerclops said. He coudln't be more right as Mao Mao came down with his sword only for Mel Mal to block his attempt at a hit. As they hit there blades against each other, Mao Mao grunted, "You fight pretty good for a women." Mel Mal smirked as she leaned, "Funny, I was going to say the same thing." She pushed him back as she went to go for the final hit. Mao Mao saw the blade just in time to duck down as use his own sword to hit hers right from her hands. It sailed in the air before Mao Mao caught it in his other hand. Pointing the two swords at Mel Mal he said, "So, good first practice?" She smiled as she lightly pushed the two blades down saying, "Not bad, not bad at all." Mao Mao handed back Mel's blade as she put it into sword sleeve saying, "Time to turn in Silver Star." "You named it." Mao Mao said. "Oh! Well yeah, it's sort of a family thing we do." she said turning away, "I know it seems silly, but; all great heroes-" "Name there weapons." Mao Mao finished. Mel Mal looked at him as he said, "Don't worry, I'm the same with Geraldine here." She smiled as Adorabat flew in saying, "Mao Mao won!" "Adoarbat, it wasn't about winning, it was about improving our skills as a hero." Mao Mao explained. Mel Mal rolled her eyes as she said, "Well I think that was a good first practice, but; I think it's best we turn in for the night." "I second that," Badgerclops said, "It's been a long day." "Yeah, we should all be getting some sleep." Mao Mao said. Turning off the lights of the practicing arena, they headed back to the house to get some sleep.
