Drawing study I did today of the god of mischief Loki.

Had a lot of fun painting him. Tom Hiddleston has a very expressive face which makes him a very interesting subject to draw.

Took approx 8 hours using photoshop CS4 with texture brushes. The real challenge was not to use the pipette tool to get the colors from the original picture and thus having to get the colors right by trial and error. It was very educative and I feel it really helped me to understand how skin react to light and how to paint it more realistically.

Reference used obviously and no I did not draw over a screenshot. That would be cheap guys. This drawing was meant to be an exercise at first but it turned out well enough that I can now show it.
