CUT from a single piece of black scrapbook paper 6"x 10" with an exacto knifeThis piece was made for my lovely cousin, Jessica. It was a gift from her sister, who commissioned me to make it. It includes things that represent parts of her life and things she likes. A few things that are included are:
-The Thai words for "Love", "Faith", and "Family"
-Canadian Maple leaf
-Thai elephant
-A globe (to represent travel)
-Baking bowl and whisk (for love of cooking and baking)
-Thai and Nepali floral designs
-The Bible verse "[You can make many plans] but the Lord's purpose will prevail." Proverbs 19:23
The cool thing about paper cuttings is that they can contain many different elements and still remain a coherent piece. I have been commissioned to make paper cuttings as baby shower gifts, wedding presents, and to commemorate anniversaries and special events. They are very easy to personalize.

This is such an awesome gift. If I would receive something like this I would frame it and hang it somewhere everyone can see it. The design is beautiful, the execution is absolutely neat and the thoughts what should be included are makes it even more special.
