Dragon Maker Dress Up game. Choose from many options like wings and eye type. Use the color menu to recolor the dragon.You can take a screen capture image of the dragon you have created in this program using your PrintScreenSysRq key on the keyboard and pasting it into an image editor. If you post images on websites please leave the "dragon maker by snowbristle" text intact.

Glitched. I chose a new color, but it kept applying the previous one. No matter how many new colors I tried to use, it kept redoing the second one I chose.

Only the color picker in the body menu can be used to color the dragon. The color picker in the custom pattern menu can only be used to color the custom pattern. Also the second square in the back is only meant to be used to replace the color in the front square.Β Lastly depending on the computer speed the color picking may behave in an unresponsive manner on cpu's less than about 2ghz.

To create a maker such as a Dragon maker you need a program where you do scripting then you compile the code as an swf. There are dozens of programs and game engines that can compile swf files these days. Some are expensive while others are free. I wrote a tutorial that is located at [Link]
This explains the very basics of one method of creating makers using an open source, source code editor called FlashDevelop.

i downloaded the wolf maker tutorial, but it wont let me open it. ses it damaged or doesnt exsist or somethin??

You probably need to install a separate program like 7-zip to open the zip files [link]
I tried opening the files with both peazip and 7-zip so I know the files are not corrupt. But I uploaded the files again anyway.
After you unzip the folder to your computer there is a file in the wolfmaker folder called WolfMaker.as3proj that is the file you open with FlashDevelop.

I am not sure what exactly you mean by scratch is it an art program or something?
Colleges and tafe institutions often teach multimedia, These courses usually cover how to make interactive flash applications. That is how I learned the basics of what programs are needed to make my makers.

Im currently wordking on a maker too and was wondering....
may i ask how you are abel to create the color scrole bar and click and drag function of the color picker ?
or is there an site where i might get an idea of the scripting ? thanks

The color picker is built using an array. Use a search engine and look for an array based color picker with the name of the scripting language you use. My methods of creating these βmaker programsβ are very different to how most do it.
