Yes, I like the Dubs most people think are so horrible. I like the Naruto dub, the Bleach dub, the Lucky star dub, and MANY MANY OTHERS! ANd to show that, I made the worst stamp in DA history. Flame away!

You know for all the censorship I like the voices in the 4Kids dub of One Piece
Then again I know them through the PS2 games not the anime where those are mostly uncut(cept for Grand Battle removal of the Enel and post Enel saga) I mean they even mentioned Kuina's death
Actually I like the voice acting in 4Kids a lot period

Funimation is good but sometimes some roles they get sound kinda generic(Christopher Sabat's Zoro)
My favourite is the Canadian dub that appears in many video games in the last few years

I hate it how people treat the Japanese Language like it's a great gift from God and it is disrespectful for anyone to not use it and treat the English Language like it's a hell spawn from Satan that is the worst thing ever despite the fact that IT'S THE LANGUAGE YOU SPEAK.
Most dubs are really good. Only time I preferred subs more than a dub was "Steins Gate" because the subs had some of the best voice acting I've ever seen and the dub.... ehhhhhhhh.Compare the subs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP4mRdβ¦ to the dub: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CK5mhβ¦ . To me, the sub sounds a lot better.Β
Also, there was "Higurashi: When They Cry" because to put it lightly, the dub was crap for that show.
But those are like, the only two. The rest are pretty good.

To me, an english dubbing of a foreign movie or TV show is a hit or miss. There are some shows out there that have excellent voice acting like Full Metal Alchemist, Black Lagoon, and my personal favorite, Cowboy Bebop.
Then there are some shows and movies that sound absolutely horrible listening to. I find myself watching live action foreign movies in japanese with english subtitles more often because most of the time the voices sound very bland and not suitable to the characters both main and minor.
I am blown away with the number of dubs in anime that actually sound good are being released today. It shows just how hard some studios work to bring a character to life.

I'd choose Bleach Dubbed over Subbed any day, but if the said episode I want to watch has yet to be released in the dub then I'll watch the subbed version...I did that with the Zanpakuto Unknown Tales arc, but now that Episodes from the arc are being released in English, I don't have to watch some episode in subs anymore...

Finally! I've been looking for a stamp like this, I want to look at the character's face when they speak, not text at the bottom of a screen; it kills the magic completely!
Although if 4Kids was involved, then I could understand. Thankfully Bleach (all time favorite of mine) fell into Viz's hands; they know what they're doing (though they seem to be taking there sweet time with it).

They only sucked cause all the voices were so high(cute appeal, I'd suppose, 4Kids and all), but the Sonic dub just genuinely suck. Sonic Bastardized was way better.

He's definitely a "go-to" person when it comes to reliable dubbing. Flawed as the LODOSS TV dub was, he really did a great job at fleshing out Spark, making his character more interesting than it could have been if it was more generic. What I find funny is that he plays multiple characters in the show.
Of the two, I prefer the OVA dub because it's more consistent (no characters dropping out every two or so episodes) and better acted debatably, but the TV dub does have its moments. I can understand if they like the Japanese version more but when they're so harsh in their judgement of the English dub, that just bothers me. Sure the English voices may not be like the Japanese voices but they're not bad. Like when they say that it makes their ears bleed(WTF?!). At least they didn't change the story.
If you don't like dub, that's okay but others do.

Yeah. And we have to remember. Japanese and English are two completely different languages. What we expect the voice of a nerd, and what they expect the voice of a nerd to be, are two completely different things.

The Pokemon English dub started off with voice-actors that were hit or miss and kept the original Japanese music, though 4kids used less in Advanced Generation. It was good (despite the edits and the whole "donut/riceball" thing).

The Ouran dub I think is good. My only thing with it is they also changed the opening theme and ending theme. You can watch the first two episodes on the Funimation websites.

Well for me, if dub sounds good and isnt dumbed down for the kids, I ll watch it that way.
If however, either it sounds bad or its dumbed down for kids, it's subs for me. XD

That's true. I hated the original One-Piece, just because they made it Five-Year-Old friendly. In like Bleach, Naruto, and other things like that, I like.
