This freaking thing took about 60 hours to complete. No joke. For the last few days, while I've been sick and feeling utterly uninspired to write, I've just sat drawing straight through the day, and it's actually FINALLY finished.This was meant to be just a thing, then it was the 100-review special for Take Flight, and now it's just this huge thing I'm utterly finished with and pretty happy with, actually, which is a relief after spending so much time on it. It's (hopefully, I'll be super annoyed if I forgot one) all the characters met in the first part of Take Flight, before Raven and Rowan became apprentices.

Rimfaxe, Wasco, Padawan, Shaq, Rowankit, Thalia, Ravenkit, Toby, Asteria, Seneca, Royce, and Bug

Right, okay, I'm going to attempt to critique this beautiful piece!
Hmm, right, so something I've noticed in your art style generally is that you tend to make the necks quite wide, I feel like they need to be just a little narrow to distinguish them more from the body. Something else I've noticed is that you tend to make the ears quite pointed, they should be just a little rounder at the top. Hmm, what else?
Ohh, yes, what colour do you tend to use when shading? It looks like just black here. It's not so much an issue in this piece as the light source is white-ish, but in pieces where the light source is a bright more vibrant (the piece of Rowan in the meadows springs to mind) I'd suggest using a colour other than black. Something I've started doing now is using the eyedropper tool for the light source, then choosing a colour that is opposite to it on the colour whell to shade with. Then you use the same colour as the light source for highlights. The effect is really nice!
I know if you're unlikely to re-do this piece anytime soon (what with it taking 60 hours!!! Can I have your patience please?!), but if you were to do it again, I'd consider changing the light source/time of day to maybe late evening or early morning, so that the light is kind of golden. With the light source you've used here, it's quite white, so the shadows are quite dark which unfortunately means that some of the darker characters blend in with the background a bit, which is sad because they're so beautiful!
Hm, that's about all I can think of! Most of this isn't really specific to this piece, it's more of a general comment. All of that being said, I do absolutely adore this piece. All the poses are so well done! Especially Shaq, I'm pretty sure I know the reference image you used for that, I once tried to use it and it was not a great success. xD It's a really difficult pose and you've pulled it off so well! Oh and of course the markings, the markings are beautiful, as I believe I said in my first comment! c:

Wow, this is incredible! They all look beautiful! <3 I love how you've painted the tabby markings on Thalia! And Rowankit looks so adorable, aww! As does Ravenkit! And- well, they all look adorable! I admire your patience for drawing so many cats. xD
