Description (Chapter 2)
The smell of breakfast woke you and Jacob up it was Sunny Side Up Sunday and that meant you get to have (favorite breakfast) with favorite toppings as a smile face. You both smiled at each other and rushed into the kitchen so the food could be nice and fresh. Jacob pulled the chair for you to sit, cause he was a gentlemen like that, and you took it with a smile, and then he took his seat. Your grandmother turned and jumped a little seeing you both already sitting.

Grandmother: “Ah!” she placed her hand on her heart and sighed deeply. “Must you two scare me like that…?”

You and Jacob giggled at each other and turned back to her.

You: “If it means getting first serve on the breakfast then yes!”

Jacob laughed at your joke and your grandmother rolled her eyes then gave a small giggle.

Grandmother: “Alright, alright it’ll be done in about 2 minutes.”

You and Jacob: “Yes!”

She smiled and continued to cook. Your mouth began to water listening to the sound of the cooking and smell of it even made you drool a little. Your enjoyment was cut off when Jacob tapped your shoulder and you looked at him seeing him smile at you. He handed you a napkin and you looked at it confused.

Jacob: “You’re drooling sis.”

You touched the end of your lip and realized that you been! You blushed a little and
Jacob wiped the drool off your cheek. Your grandmother put the plates in front you and Jacob and you both dig in. Your grandmother smiled and got you both some water and (slice/pieces of favorite fruit) for both of you. You couldn’t stop smiling at the amazing the food was just so amazing.

Grandmother: “(your name) after this you have to go to the lake for your figure skating practice.”

You smiled widely and gave her a slight nod.

You: “Right grandma!’

Jacob: “I can’t wait for your next show, you’re gonna be awesome just like mama!”

He smiled at you and you smiled back. It was your mother’s dream to see you following in her footsteps. She was an amazing figure skater and was going to go to the Olympics, but then that terrible truck took her away. Now you know her dreams are still in your hands and you have to carry them on…it’s what they both would’ve wanted. Although, you didn’t mind it though figure skating was fun and beautiful to do. Your mother’s couch is couching you now and you’ve been training your hardest to get in the Jr. Olympics class and be ready to be in the Olympics by the time you’re 15 or 16.

You: “I’m gonna try my hardest and become the best!”

You had a determine look and that made your grandmother and Jacob smile proudly at you.

Jacob: “Hey after practice how about we just ice skate for fun like we always do?”

You nodded at him with a smile.

You: “K big brother.”

When you and your family were done with breakfast you changed and grabbed your ice skates then did your other morning stuff and finally headed to the car. Once again your grandmother had to scrap the pretty frost off the front window so that she can see. You were again sad, but happy that you got to draw your mom on your window. When you got to the park you guys walked into the forest and got to the frozen lake. There you saw your couch waiting for you. She’s around her late 20’s with shortish light blonde hair that was in a bun, wearing blue jeans, black boots, a black jacket, and a purple scarf; she had blue eyes, and is very strict. You walked up to her already with your skates on.

You: “Miss. Loveless.”

She turned to you, but she didn’t smile, which was strange because in the stories that  Jacob, your grandmother, and the videos always showed her smiling and enjoying life. She looked at you with her expressionless face.

Loveless: “Oh…hello…”

You: “I’m ready to practice my hardest.”

You gave her a bright smile, but all she did was take a deep breath and gave you a slight nod.

Loveless: “Ok…the lake has been smoothen out, go practice your landing, I need to do something real quick.”

You nodded smiling.

You: “Ok I’ll make it perfect!”

You ran to the lake and Jacob followed. Loveless stared at you two run off and took another deep breath.

Grandmother: “I know what you’re thinking.”

Loveless sighed and lowered her head.

Loveless: “You don’t know me…”

She didn’t look at your grandmother, but your grandmother was still smiling at her.

Grandmother: “I miss her as much as you do and I know this one will make it to the top.”

Loveless: “It’s just…so surprising how much she looks like her mother…”

Grandmother: “I know but-“

Loveless: “I’m sorry, but I must run!”

She turned to her and walked away without looking at her. Your grandmother sighed and looked a little sad and she whispered to herself.

Grandmother: “Oh dear…please understand that isn’t her fault…it wasn’t her fault that-“

She quickly stopped when she felt a warm hand hold hers. She looked down to see Jacob holding it and smile at her warmly.

Jacob:  “Not now grandma…please let’s try to stay happy for her…”

He wanted to cry, but he was somehow able to hold them back. Your grandmother kissed his forehead and gave him a warm smile.

Grandmother: “I’m sorry dear I’ll stop.”

Jacob smiled at her and dried his eyes from the tears that wanted to come out, and then he looked back up at her.

Jacob: “Common (your name) is calling you.”

Grandmother: “Alright, but for a moment it is Sunday after all.”

Jacob and your grandmother walked to the lake. You were jumping very high and even did some spins in the air, but whenever you would land you would lose your balance. You would get it back just in time before you fell on your but. It would upset you more and more and by the way Jacob would fall to the floor laughing it was obvious you were showing it. Jacob would always laugh when you got upset or angry because you would make this cute pouty face and you would turn bright red. He thought it was adorable and so did a LOT of people.

Grandmother: “Ok sweet hearts I have to go help prepare for the festival that we’re going to have, I’ll come back at around 7 alright?”

Jacob gave a slight to her.

Jacob: “Ok grandma!”

You yelled from where you were, but still kept your focus.

You: “Yeah ok!”

You jumped again landed, but moved your arms up and down trying to keep your balance. Your grandmother chuckled slightly and walked away, but the festival wasn’t too far from the frozen lake. You’re family is mostly known for baking well…almost anything from all over the world. Your family could cook things that came from Japan, Paris, South America, almost everywhere! Even though your grandmother could cook all of these things she only had one café that wasn’t really big and only served sweets. Now that the festival was coming your grandmother had a lot of cooking to do. You jumped and landed holding your balance, but soon lost it and you got even angrier at yourself.

You: “Ugh! I’m never gonna get this right!”

You did that cute pouty face and were somewhat red with rage. Jacob chuckled and was about to call you when snow started to fall. You looked up at the falling snow and your anger suddenly vanished. You smiled with joy and giggled so cutely when a snowflake touched your nose and gave it a little nip. Jacob smiled at you then got a great idea!

Jacob: “Hey Snowflake!” he yelled at you.

You turned to him confused and he gave you slight nod.

You: “What?”

Jacob: “Snowflake that’s your new nickname!” he smiled at you. “You smiled and got happy when you saw the snowflakes and you’re just like a snowflake nice, cool, you bring smiles and joy to other people, and you’re pretty like one to, so for now on I’m calling you Snowflake and I’ll have everyone else call you that to!” he smiled brightly at you. You look at him with a bit of shock, but then smiled widely at him.

You: “Ok big brother” you yelled back at then giggled.

Loveless came back and shouted at you from the snow.

Loveless: “What are you doing?! Quit wasting time and practice!”

You flinched just a tiny bit and quickly jumped again, but lost some balance when you landed.

Loveless: “Get it right!”

You quickly  jumped again trying to make your landing perfect. Jacob gave Loveless a disgusted look for yelling at you like that, but went back to looking at you practicing. The sun was going down already and after all that time you still couldn’t land perfect. You sat in the snow trying to catch your breath from all of that and Jacob was right beside you wiping your sweat and giving you some water. The only break you took was for lunch and it was less than 15 minutes. Loveless walked up to you with the most disappointed look on her face. You looked up at her a little worried of what she’s gonna say, Jacob was ready to defend you with all his might.

Loveless:  “*sigh* …..You need more practice and be sure to get it right before your next contest got it!?”

You quickly got up and nodded at her.

You: “Yes I promise to get it right before my next contest!”

That still didn’t make her smile; she just gave you disappointed look and turned the other way.

Loveless: “Be here again tomorrow at 5:30, don’t be late!”

She walked away leaving you and Jacob where you were, you still trying to catch your breath. You sighed looking down disappointed in yourself. Jacob saw then rubbed your back; you turned to him and saw him giving you a confident smile.

Jacob: “Don’t worry…she’s just in one her moods. You did great! You’ll get your landing soon.”

You smiled back at him.

You: “Thanks…I should keep practicing though.”

You started walking to lake again, but stopped when Jacob put his hand on your shoulder. You turned to face him see that he has some concern for you.

Jacob: “You should rest some more; remember the last time you over did it?”

You: “But I have to make my landing perfect my next contest is in two weeks!”

Jacob: “I know, I know…”

He sighed, but then smiled warmly at you.

Jacob: “But practice is over and we said we would skate for fun, remember?”

That’s right! you did say you would skate with him after practice. You really wanted to keep skating, but the idea of skating for fun sounded just perfect. You smiled at Jacob.

You: “Ok big brother let’s skate!”

Jacob: “Awesome, just give a sec to go get my skates ok Snowflake.”

You gave a slight nod and watch walk into the forest where your grandmother was helping out. The sun was a setting a little more and you began to become a little worried that it’ll be too late for the both of you to skate for fun. You sighed waiting for Jacob to come, but a crack from behind you got your attention more. You quickly turned to where the noise was and there was another crack, but a little louder.

You: “Jacob?” you asked a little nervous.

There was rustling in the bushes and a few more tiny cracks.

You: “Jacob you better not try to scare me or I’m gonna tell grandma!”

You had hoped that would work, but then you hear more cracks coming for all angels of  you. You started getting really scared and confused. You looked all over where the noises were coming from; you were about to run until an evil laugh from the air froze you in your tracks. The laugh seemed to becoming from the sky along with what seemed to be horse cries. Run, that’s all you wanted to do…just run. Tears of fear began to form in your eyes as you stood in the same spot frighten, it was like your feet had sunk into the ground and you couldn’t move. You were scared, you were about scream for Jacob, but a girl’s voice shouted to you and it sounded like it came from the lake, which got your attention.

Girl’s voice: “Run..!”

You turned to where you heard the voice and then you saw her! A girl that seemed around your age; she had brown hair that was just a tiny bit past her shoulders, it was very straight, she was wearing a brown dress that you’ve never seen in your life, she had brown eyes, her freckles where really faint, but you somehow were able to make it out, she had brown skates on that looked nothing like the ones you’ve ever seen. You thought she must be a “Lost One” not because of what she was wearing, but because she appeared right at the edge of the lake within a blink of an eye.

Girl: “You have to hurry! Run!”

You looked at her with such confusion.

You: “What…?”

She appeared a few inches next to you. When you looked you jumped a little when she just appeared. You saw fear in her eyes and her legs were shaking like she was about to fall or something.

Girl: “Hurry, he’s going to get you!”

Your grandmother told when “Lost Ones” keep talking about random things, it’s because they can only talk about what they remembered before they…passed on, but you still had to let them explain so they can remember.

You: “What do you mean, what’s-?”

The evil laugh stopped you from continuing and both you and the girl looked up and around to see where the laugh had come from.

Girl: “Oh no!”

You both quickly looked at each other and this time she had much more fear in her eyes then from before.

Girl: “Quickly run!”

You: “What-?”

The girl gasps and looks down and look down to and both of you were somehow on the lake.
You didn’t know what was going on, but then the ice started cracking under both of you. Your eyes widen with fear and both of you look at each other having the same expression.

You: “Wha…?”

Girl: “Don’t!”

The evil laugh and horse cries shouted all around you both. You looked around and everything stared to go…go…pitch black…. The laugh and cries became louder, eviler, scarier, and somehow…darker.

Girl: “No don’t! Run!”

That’s all she kept shouting at you. The screams and cries were like gongs being slammed against something hard. You shut your eyes and covered your ears trying to block out the sounds and think. The screams and cries kept getting louder and louder, you couldn’t take it anymore.

You: “Stop it!” you shouted.

Jacob: “Uh Snowflake?”

You let out a slight gasp and turned to your side to see Jacob looking at you with much confusion.

Jacob: “You ok Snowflake?”

You looked at him with confusion in your eyes again and looked around. You were in the same spot you were before all that chaos happened. Looking at the lake you saw it smoothed with only your skate marks you left earlier.

You thought: “What…?! But I was just…what was that all about?”

Questions upon questions filled your mind, trying to figure out what that vision was about. Your train of thought ended when Jacob tapped your shoulder and you were quickly brought back to reality. Jacob gave you a very concern and confused look.

Jacob: “Are you alright Snowflake?”

You stared at him for a while still shocked and very, very confused of what just happened.

You: “Y…Yeah…I-I’m fine big brother…”

That didn’t convince him though; he quickly took off one of his gloves and placed his un-covered hand on your forehead feeling your temperature.

Jacob: “You’re not feeling sick again, are you?”

You thought: “Again….Oh! Oh….”

For a moment you forgot what he was saying, but then you remembered. Ever since you were a baby you’ve always gotten a terrible fever. It wouldn’t last long, but the bad thing about it was that it would come out randomly sometimes during school, practice, even sometimes during your figure skating contest, but you’ve always made through the whole thing. Your family had a history of it, but with better technology doctors were able to come up with a medication for your whole family. It wouldn’t make it go away, it was just so it wouldn’t come as often and it made it not last for a week anymore, but they were very strong and the doctor’s orders were that you couldn’t do any extreme sports or anything like that. Jacob kept checking your temperature by feeling your cheeks and forehead. He fingers were getting cold and you felt the ice cold tingle when his fingers were on your neck. It made flinch and giggle, so you took his hand off.

You: “Don’t worry big brother everything’s fine I promise.”

You gave him bright smile, which made him relax and take a deep breath.

Jacob: “Well that’s good, I’m glad you’re ok Snowflake.”

He chuckled a little and you just giggled along.

Jacob: “Common let’s skate before we have to go!”

He ran to the lake you followed happily.

Girl: “No…!”

You heard her faint scream and looked behind you where her voice came from. You didn’t see her which made confused again. You thought you should tell Jacob and your grandmother about the vision later and with that you went back to the lake.
