An other typical Dutch thing
is this candy; "drop" the Dutch word for liquorice

on the pic the box shows the famous Amsterdam Canal houses - [link] - just because our "drop" is so typical Dutch

its mostly hard and sticky to chew on
its salt , extra salt, but also the sweet ones have the bad thing to stew up your blood pressure
and to keep extra fluid in your bodysystem (which can be good during a heat wave)
its a very yummie candy which you have to learn to appriciate when its unknown by you
but when you grew up with it like me its more a normal thing to have them in the house always
but here we learned; dont eat to much of it, no more then 5 a day
some ppl are very very addicted to this stuff.....
