Soooo people following me on tumblr will know of my strange and ongoing love affair with The Vampire Diaries, which, much like Romeo and Juliet, goes unapproved of by my family. Ours is a tragic union.

ANYWAY! I've run through the first 4 seasons on Netflix annnd I'm gonna try and find my way to watching S5 & The Originals because I need more... and I am clearly head over heels for Actual-Disney-Princess!Vampire Caroline Forbes. She is the best thing ever.
Annnd by extension Klaroline because twisty beauty and the beast esq romances are totally my bag, in case y'all didn't notice (also his accent, hot damn, I live in England and I never hear anyone chattin' that smooth.)

So yes! It turned out as a kind of light/dark exercise with various theme-y things. I chose poppies, carnations and lilies because they all have classical associations with death, also placing them with a sort of head/heart way because to me it seems like Klaus is all "murdering folks, murdering folks, I'm filled with ancient loneliness and we should date because I love you and stuff, murdering folks" where as Caroline is more of a "planning stuff, planning stuff, sorry I can't date you even though your charming and hot b/c you killed everyone ever and that's not okay, planning stuff."

Annnnd of course I had to include the hummingbirds from Klaus' story

Ugh, now I have to go lie down and think about all these cursed shippy feelings.
