Description
The foals are growing up and getting educated on the important stuff, like standing tied. They get to show off their skills by testing them on the high line during a short camping trip. And the two Leetle Dudes are swapping colors like they think they are magic markers, Goose is spotting out and Dee got herself a Malibu tan to replace her light baby coat.

Early on in the trip Bunny had been removed from his end spot and shuffled in between the two spotted siblings. Left alone he was too nosy and prone to untying himself with increasing frequency as he got the hang of the grasp and pull method of escape. Sandwiched between the others he was less of a headache. It gave him something else to focus on, namely keeping one from reaching the other. Before the switch the other two yearlings had been content to stand as close as their leads would allow grooming, nipping, or just standing about. This gave Bunny a lot to work with as the two tended to gravitate toward each other like magnets when you weren't looking.

When separated from Goose, or any other form of crutch, Dee was pliable and calm. Other than standing at the end of her lead, as close to Bunny as she dared to get without being invited in, the filly wasn't doing much of anything. From time to time she made sly little advances testing to see whether or not she was still tied securely. She had given up on getting Goose's attention remotely, she had lost that when the buckskin colt between them had nearly bitten him on the nose for popping his personal bubble one too many times.

Goose was the best of the lot. He wasn't carrying out plans for escape, didn't have any, and future prospects of growing one were dim. Once he had been firmly assured by the much tinier of the two colts that none shall pass he had settled in. As of half an hour ago he had started a cycle of restless dozing, shifting from hoof to hoof.

Most of the handlers felt that it was a successful venture. All three had proven that they understood the concept of staying tied, even with all the new sights around them. Some understood better than others it would seem, but for babies they were doing great. Later they would pony them off some of the saddle horses to let them stretch before they packed up and went home.
