As yall are aware, smokestar has a personality disorder. She has DID specifically. The system only has two alters, mostly cause that's easiest for me cause I'm forgetful lmao

She developed the disorder from the trauma of repeated surprise attacks on ashclan from raggedclan as a kit. (First time she got stuck in the middle of camp as the battle happened. I'm not going into too much detail because that's a wee bit much)

Alter A, mainly referred to as Smokekit, is the host, known for being childish, naive and a bit aloof. She is friendly and social, enjoying long conversations, constantly getting off topic however. She seems oblivious to issues unless they're thrown right at her face, just doing her own thing. She's known to jump to conclusions and be fussy when things dont go her way.
Her and her other alter share memories, but she often blacks out when fronting ^^'

Alter B, known as smokestar, has more of a protective mother type personality. She doesn't trust easily and is keen on justice. She has some patience, but can be snappy. She holds the system's grudges, more likely to act upon them. She views the clan as her own kits, and is extremely protective over them. She's very close her her son and late daughter, the latter's death hitting her harder than she's willing to admit.

Smoketuft was her warrior name! Her mentor was leechmuzzle, and she visits him in the elders den often, usually venting to him.

She was actually shocked when froststar chose her as deputy. She never really wanted a high position, not feeling she could handle it. She also felt she would let her clanmates down if she rejected the offer, so she accepted.

In starclan, mainly in dreams, the alters actually appear separately! Prophets are often confused on who to speak to first Haha

The alters are aware of each other and they converse often, mainly in the system's thoughts and dreams. Sometimes theyll talk out loud, weirding some cats out, but pretty much all of ashclan understands why she's doing it and doesn't hold it against her.

Usually the alters ask each other permission to switch, but sometimes, depending on the situation, one will front without consent.

Smokestar's mate was....
Monarchpetal! They grew up together and grew close overtime. One night he disappeared, and hasnt been seen since.
Smokestar raised her kits on her own, and did a good job, both alters cooperating to help provide their kits a good life.
When butterflywillow was killed, smokestar snapped and killed her assailant, being hurt for moons. Neither alters have forgiven hollowstar yet, and its unsure if they ever will.

Unfortunately both alters have the trait of making brash decisions without giving much thought beforehand.

Even without the disorder, smokestar would have made the same decisions, even would have gone further.
