Polymer clay. I also prefer the brand Premo, as it's flexible once baked and not too soft.

How do you stick them together though? Does this clay has the property to just stick together like that, without having to press it too hard?

The clay sticks together pretty easily. If it doesn't, you can put a little bit of liquid sculpey. Just enough to stick, but not enough to let it slide around.
