I just keep digging up these old scans on my hard drive |D Here's one from the time I was obsessed with "The Brave Little Toaster" I rewatched it one day in 2011 and realized that the cars being crushed at the end were in fact DYING. Which is slightly depressing, since among the few who reflect on their lives (in song) was this adorable red Superbird, well presumably a superbird anyway XD I felt really bad for him, even more so after looking at 's lovely fanart and fan-comics of these poor cars.
So out of it came this |D Enjoy!

Yeah ESPECIALLY if you listen to the instrumental version of the song. That segment of it with him and Andy have some of the saddest instrumentals, a long droning 'oOOoooOoo' that really makes it sound even extra sad!
I really need to do comics for Bobby's story after I finish up Pinky don't I?

Yeah, to me Andy's part was one of the saddest ;-; the music/lyric combo there is just too touching
Though the music REALLY slowed down for emphasis through the reservation truck's lyrics, almost to the point of being a little ghost-story-esque, to me anyways

It's hard for me to nail down a 'saddest part' because to me they're all equally sad. I will say that probably the least sad is Goldie and Grave's death (the limos) not because their deaths are less sad, but they're just gone so quick I guess that you don't get a lot of time for them to sink in before they're gone.
I actually thought that part with Ol' Green with the cars around him going "ooh ooh" kinda made the scene feel like it was trying to be humorous then more sad.. it's kinda distracting honestly. If we're talking about him actually, and if I were being harsh, I would say I kinda wish you could understand what Ol' Green was saying during his part. I UNDERSTAND it, but that's just because I've looked at the lyrics and heard the song to death. I KNOW that anyone just watching the movie for the first time isn't going to have a clue.. he's just singing so fast, that mixed with his voice just makes it really hard to understand. Nothing against the singer though, I think he did a great job doing that voice. To be honest, I think the whole song was a tad bit too fast.. made a lot of the cars a little hard to understand. For example, with Callie, I thought for the longest time she was saying "Piko lets go out to Zuma!" but then I got it from Jerry Rees himself that she was saying "He'd go, lets go out to Zuma."
Ah pfft.. you're not pressuring me girl. I've been wanting to do his story next myself! I just know I couldn't be able to do two stories at once so I'm kinda having to work one at a time. If anything you give me reason, I'm going to feel better doing it if I know he'll have a fan following his story.
I actually wanted to put out a short comic during this last Valentines day with him and Georgia.. unfortunately I missed the release date. : / It was going to be really cute though.. : )

Yeah, it's a "kids" movie but what makes it fantastic is the underlying dark tones and the music is absolutely superb :3

They were one of the coolest cars from the muscle car era and were undoubtedly the fastest. They were banned from NASCAR because they were TOO fast, if that tells you anything. Richard Petty almost landed one in the grandstands at Talladega. That big spoiler is what kept the nose on the ground, because of the aerodynamics of the car, they would lift off the ground at high speeds and try to fly without it. The spoiler definitely wasn't there to make the car look cool, it had to be. Shame anyone would crush a bird, but it happens, I've also seen Plymouth Barracuda's crushed as well. Shame shame shame!Β
Lots of people like to argue that this car is a Corvette Stingray, but if it was, the magnet wouldn't be able to pick it up as the body on a 'Vette is made of fiberglass.Β

I know, such cool cars, I've only seen a few in person, but I know that huge spoiler anywhere ^^ it may have been put there with the intent to keep the wheels on the road, but it also makes the car stand out for sure!
I'm with the people who say he's a superbird, I never would've thought about the fiberglass body, that's a great point! Or maybe the animators got lazy and made a covette-superbird hybrid XD

Boy oh boy, what a piece of work this is. I can't understand why you wouldn't have uploaded this right away, it's a very quality piece! Bobby looks so incredibly cute in this too, like a big happy metal puppydog. <3 I'm the same, I always draw anthro cars like big doggies, it must just be their four-leggedness or something I dunno.
I really love the way you draw tires by the way, you really give them a plump round look which is something I've been trying to get down. Your epic shading really helps with that the most I think, I really love that you even shaded his body.. really gives him more shape and makes that big sexy accent line alone his side stand out. Nice work on the side-mirrors too, nicely detailed! Really nice posing with his tires too, the front one being a little sideways and turned to show off some of his suspension is a nice touch.
Great work, this is really worthy of the TBLT club here on DA too if I might add. Would be awesome to see some of the other cars in your style.

I think the lovable puppy-ness fits his body style well in particular, seems like he would've been before being junked anyway. I used some of your doodles regarding Bobby for reference too, so that could be why XD
Aw, thanks :3 I was shooting for the seamless cartoon look at first, but I couldn't help but add some shading, those sexy lines mustn't go unpronounced! And the suspension showing was another inspiration from your art, it gives the wheels more flexibility and makes them seem more, I dunno, alive I guess |D
